He Tupu Ōhanga, the Commercial Advisors Scheme is open to Māori collectives, including trusts, incorporations and post-settlement governance entities. Coalitions of collectives are also able to apply.

The objective of He Tupu Ōhanga – Commercial Advisors Scheme is to support Māori collectives with professional business advice, to develop the capability, knowledge, business networks, and innovation needed to realise the potential economic value of assets.
We are encouraging collectives/coalitions to consider how they can prepare for a future economy that will look very different than it is today. These include new technologies, globalisation and demographic shifts. As businesses gain confidence to invest in new low-emissions technologies, new industries and jobs emerge, Māori can be part of the global transition.
He Tupu Ōhanga – Commercial Advisors Scheme 2019 investment round offer maximum $60,000 (subject to co-funding requirements) for each successful funding application, over an 18 month contract period, from 1 February 2020 to 31 July 2021.
