The Commercial Advisors Scheme (CAS) funds Māori collectives for up to $60,000, to work with a commercial advisor for a period of 12 to 18 months. The scheme is open to Māori collectives, including trusts, incorporations, post-settlement governance entities and coalitions of collectives and a total investment of just over $10 million committed in the last three years. Applications for the 2018 round were assessed and 33 projects identified for investment. CAS applications for the 2019 round, will open on 19 August, for a limited period of 31 days, then close on 30 September for contracted advisors to begin work 1 February 2020.
